BrainWaves is a semester-long neuroscience high school curriculum. In the first half of the program. students learn about neurons, brain anatomy, and human memory through a sequence of hands-on activities and laboratories. The second half of the program is devoted to small-group student investigations, where students work with a science mentor to develop a research question, collect and analyze data. Throughout this process, students use a dedicated app (the BrainWaves app), preloaded with cognitive tasks that students use in their investigations.
