NYU applications and systems utilize many different ways of exchanging data. At times the data exchange is also referred to as an integration between NYU applications, systems, or vendors. When creating application integration or exchange with data following items are in need for consideration.

  1. NYU IT provides API Portal listing data that can be requested and once approved by Data Stewards to be used in applications.
  2. APIs best practices are provided for those interested in utilizing, as well as, making their own data available to be used by applications.
  3. Each integration should be documented as part of NYU ServiceLink CMDB to help understand what type of integration it is at high level.
