STEMBall NYC seeks college mentors

On Saturday, March 23rd, Prodigy & the Brooklyn Nets will be hosting STEMBall NYC, a youth-led STEM fair at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

Participating students from schools across NYC will work on projects and have the opportunity to learn more about the science, technology, engineering and mathematics behind some of their favorite sports products, teams, and athletes by experiencing hands-on demonstrations and speaking with professionals in STEM fields.

In order to make STEMBall as successful and engaging as possible for the students, we need student volunteers to serve as college mentors and assist these students with their projects and provide insight on careers in STEM from a college students’ perspective. Potential mentors will only be committing for a couple of hours over the course of 4 weeks, which includes helping students with their projects and a required training session. This is a great way to get volunteer hours in, gain leadership experience, build resume experience, and be a part of an awesome event at the Barclays Center!
