The Treisman Lab is seeking a research technician to conduct independent basic science experiments on cell communication in visual system development. The techniques used will be Drosophila genetics, immunostaining, confocal microscopy, cell culture, molecular biology, and biochemistry. Research in the lab is described at http://treismanlab.med.nyu.edu/. This position is suitable for an individual who is motivated to build a portfolio of research accomplishments in preparation for acquiring a higher degree in biomedical research or medicine in the future. A B.S. or B.A. in biomedical or physical sciences is required and research experience is preferred. A minimum committment of two years is required.
