June Lee
June Lee is a New York and Korea based artist. Her work is based on her own experience and the
things she treasure. They are very personal but she hopes the audience to connect her memories
to their own experiences. The most important theme in her artworks is “purity”. She wants the
audience to see their own pureness and relate to their own purity. Her video shows her very own
love, her dog- Happy. She presents herself as the “owner of Happy”. This not only literally
means she is the owner of her dog, Happy, but also she owns the emotion of happiness. This
video will further demonstrate what it means for June to be the “owner of Happy.”
