Justice Collaboratory

The Justice Collaboratory was co-founded by Tracey Meares and Tom Tyler “as one of several academic institutions part of the U.S. Justice Department’s National Initiative for Building Community Trust and Justice.” The initiative promotes procedural justice (aimed at increasing “cooperation and trust between individuals and the state”) through engaging diverse scholars and researchers of diverse theoretical backgrounds at Yale University and elsewhere. “In addition to our production of research and policy recommendations, we partner with criminal justice agencies to develop trainings, conduct public events, engage students at Yale University, and serve as a referral resource for procedural justice work.”
