The Index of Cyber Security is a measure of risk. A higher index value indicates a perception of increasing risk, while a lower index value indicates the opposite.

 


 

Introduction – December 2016

The Index of Cyber Security rose by 0.7% over the previous month.

Key findings

The fastest rising risks for the month were as follows:

  • Effect desired: Data theft +3.0%.
  • Target: Autonomous network connected devices +2.4%.
  • Attackers: Nation states +1.9%.

Most risk indicators were up when compared to the previous month.
