Hi! I’m Alan, and I’m a second-year ITP student. Before coming to ITP, I worked as a freelance photographer and multimedia artist for 14 years. I specialize in portraiture and can check out my work here.
Capture One, Photoshop; Lightroom have been my go-to programs throughout my career; however, with the industry shifting and clients’ need for short videos, I started learning filmmaking. I was hesitant at first but quickly started to enjoy working on a film set deeply and have had the opportunity to direct a couple of commercials and DP a few smaller projects. This drove me to learn Premiere and DaVinci Resolve. I absolutely love camera-based work, from conceptualization to set lighting and editing.
My experience with 3d and Unreal is limited to what I have taught myself over the summer and an introduction from a couple of classes last year. I am taking Todd Bryants Virtual Production this semester in conjunction with this class to jump-start my Virtual Production skill set.
I’m beyond excited to explore a new way of storytelling and push my creativity.
