The course will be partly synchronous and partly asynchronous. Lecture contents will be delivered each week through short videos, and there will be two live meetings on Zoom: once on Monday (Sec. 6) / Tuesday (Sec. 1) to discuss the topics of the videos in more details with your instructor, and once on Friday with your TA for the recitation and the quiz. Each week will be organized as follows.
- Videos will be available on Wednesday, and you should watch them before the class.
- Some exercises will be available following the videos, and they will be covered in class. You should think about them before the class, but you do not need to do finish them.
- We will meet on Zoom each Monday (Sec. 6 & 11) / Tuesday (Sec. 1). The lecture will start with a short quiz on Gradescope to test your understanding, and we will then discuss the results. Afterwards, you will be able to talk in groups about the exercises assigned, and solutions will be given.
- After each live meeting, you will be familiar with all the material to do the WebAssign exercises and the homework. The WebAssign exercises are due by Wednesday 11:59pm and you should do them first. The homework will be more difficult and dueby Thursday 5pm. The solution to the homework will be released right after, so that you have time to read it before the quiz.
- In recitation, you will cover more examples, and discuss with your TA to solidify your knowledge. Each recitation will end with a 20-minute quiz on Gradescope. Attendance and participation will be checked.
