Nellie Gencheva Gipson, born in Sofia, Bulgaria, is an arts and culture management professional. She and her husband, Bob Gipson, are committed supporters of many educational and cultural organizations in the USA and in Nellie’s native Bulgaria.
Nellie’s current affiliations include Trustee, Fenimore Art Museum, in Cooperstown; Trustee The Glimmerglass Festival in Cooperstown; Trustee American College of Sofia, Bulgaria; Advisory Committee, Bulgarian Concert Evening in NYC (BCENY); Advisory Committee, Institute for the Study of the Ancient World (ISAW), NYU; Co-chair, FAO Schwarz Education Center, Museum of the City of New York; Volunteer, Metropolitan Museum of Art.
Other organizations dear to Nellie’s heart are the Bulgarian school in NYC, Gorana Dance ensemble.
