Greetings from the Leon Levy Center for Biography! I would like to make sure your students and faculty are in the loop about our future events and our upcoming fellowship competition.

As you may know, we put on about five events each semester, including the annual Conference on Biography and the annual lecture. We’ve talked with distinguished biographers and thinkers such as Robert Caro and Arnold Rampersad; we’ve discussed everything from archival strategies to the sad state of the biopic. We’re looking forward to an exciting Fall of programming, kicked off by Ron Chernow on September 28, who will be discussing his forthcoming biography of George Washington, Washington: A Life (Penguin, October 2010).

In addition to our lectures and roundtables, we want to make sure your students and faculty working in biography are aware of our fellowship, which honors four biographers each year with writing space and a generous stipend of $60,000. We will begin accepting applications this summer.

Can you put me in touch with the caretaker of your department email list so that I may forward on our announcements for consideration? Any other information about reaching your students and faculty would also be much appreciated.

Thank you for your time!

Caitlin Delohery
