The Office of the Historian, U.S. Department of State, invites all
qualified applicants to apply for the position of General Editor of the
Foreign Relations of the United States series, the official documentary
record of the history of U.S. foreign policy and diplomatic activity.

The General Editor directs the scope, research, planning, selection,
editing, and release of the Foreign Relations of the United States series.
The series consists of approximately 30 or more volumes for each
presidential administration. The General Editor is required to deal at any
given time with 25 to 35 Foreign Relations volumes at various stages of
completion, usually from 2 or 3 presidential administrations.
