Internships:
ARCHIVAL: Work on an archival project helping to catalogue the dynamic 40-year history of Ballet Hispanico and Founder Tina Ramirez. Interns will work in partnership with Centro de Estudios Puertorriqueños at Hunter College (“Centro”), which will become the home for these items in the future. They also work with Coco Pelaez, original Ballet Hispanico Company member and niece of Tina Ramirez. The ideal candidate will have an interest in Dance, Latin Culture, Library Science and/or archiving. Attention to detail is essential. 15-20 hours per week
Immediate availability
WARDROBE/COSTUME: Interns work closely with the Wardrobe Supervisor, school personnel, and teaching artists. Responsibilities would include taking measurements, costume maintenance, performance dressing & quick changes. Interns will have the opportunity to work with production staff for performances in May and June. Experience and interest in dance a plus. Sewing Skills a must!
March-June. At least 10 hours per week.
Must be available within the hours of 3-5 pm on some weekdays, and on some Saturdays.
Additional hours during week of June 7, 2011.
