Taller Boricua/The Puerto Rican Workshop is seeking an archive intern this fall to assist in the implementation of preservation activities for archival materials. Archival materials document the institutional and programming activities of the Taller Boricua. Archive interns will assist in the rehousing of archival materials and developing of basic findings aids in the form of inventory and box lists. Interns will received guidance from both Curator and an Archival Consultant.

Our mission is to be a proactive institution for the community in East Harlem by offering programs that stimulate its social, cultural and economic development through the promotion of the arts. Requirements:
Basic MS Word and Excel proficiency. Ability to work independently. Interns must be currently enrolled in, or have successfully completed an introduction to archives or archival management course, and have an interest in the history of New York’s Puerto Rican Artistic community as well as New York Art History. Candidates must commit to the extent of the fall semester (3 months).
