Internship Opportunity
The Library at the Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS) is offering an internship opportunity to interested candidates. The selected candidate will continue the ongoing creation of a preliminary inventory of the WCS Archives.
The WCS Archives holds more than 3,000 boxes of material in various stages of organization. The intern will be responsible for listing box contents and updating the Excel spreadsheet containing the inventory.
Interested candidates should be interested in archival processing, be detail-oriented, have advanced Excel skills, have good interpersonal communication skills and be able to work as part of a team.
This internship is unpaid and for academic credit only.

About the WCS Conservation Resource Library
The Library is responsible for providing research support and information access to WCS staff worldwide, including 200 scientists in over 60 countries as well as our New York based living institutions, Bronx Zoo, Central Park Zoo, Prospect Park Zoo, Queens Zoo and the New York Aquarium. It houses a small collection of books and journals on wildlife management, conservation and animal health and provides online access to over 800 ejournals. The Library is also responsible for maintaining the WCS Archives which contains the history of the Wildlife Conservation Society back to its founding in 1895 as the New York Zoological Society.
