End-of-Semester Reflections

This is a placeholder blog post, to give you an example of what a reflective blog post might look like. Eventually, you’ll want to delete this post and create a new post.

This blog will be a space in which you can reflect on your classes, projects, experiences, and thinking as they develop over the course of each term. By writing down your thoughts at the end of every semester, you can document the evolution of your intellectual life, track how your research interests shift, and think about the connections, intersections, and even frictions between the courses you take. Writing these posts will also help you prepare for some of the major milestones required by Gallatin.

In your posts, you might want to address such questions as:

  • What did I expect to learn, and what did I end up learning?
  • How did the work I completed over the semester relate to my concentration?
  • What ideas will I take forward from these classes?
  • What are some key texts (books, movies, artwork, etc.) that significantly impacted my thinking?

These are just suggestions, however. Ultimately, the content is up to you! All of your end-of-semester blog posts will show up here on this page.

*Tip: Make sure you categorize your blog posts as “End-of-Semester Reflections.” You can also create additional categories, if you want to broaden the scope of your reflections. And it’s also a good idea to tag your posts with keywords to make them searchable.
