Project Description

Project Description:

The Touch Pad Pro Project is aim to develop activities and templates for TouchPad Pro to interpret content including graphic recognition and elementary school education; by making interpretation activities, we could enable learners with vision disabilities to draw, design, and learn.

Overview of Significant Achievements

  • Followed the schedule and held meetings weekly with both group members and mentors; shared our weekly updates and developed our project based on the mentor’s feedback and advice.
  • 3rd Week, we have provided a template prototype by using cardboard and laser-cut to present our ideas of demonstrating simple shapes to elementary school kids who have disabilities in vision.
  • 4th Week, we set up our project direction to produce interactive and educational-used templates to present visualization graphs.
  • 5th Week, we created an initially functional prototype which could provide graph visualization – bar graph –  template as our first signification step.
  • 7th Week, we held a feedback meeting with mentors and addressed our final project details.
  • 9th Week, we created Adobe Illustrator drawings of our final prototype and was ready to print
  • 10th Week, we bought the materials we need and finally created our final prototype
  • 11th Week, presentation recorded.
