AT Presentations
Assistive Technology Presentation (Pre-recorded and captioned video)
Students will work in pairs to introduce a specific assistive device relevant to accessibility or disability. They will create and share a 10-minute video (with captions) describing this technology, and prepare to lead a 10-minute in-class discussion. The video should focus on summarizing the technology, and the discussion should focus on the impact of that technology.
Students may pick the technology they present but must use the AT Presentation Signup to post their topic to ensure there is no overlap between pairs.
Video Content Requirements
- What is the technology, and what does it do?
- How does this technology address a challenge related to COVID or Voting for People with Disabilities?
- Who was this technology designed for?
- Who designed this technology, and what role did end users play?
- What is the cost of this technology?
- All citations used in preparing the video (including resources to learn more)
- Other things that the group find interesting or are relevant to the class
Video Production Details
