In April 2021, Chiye was selected to be one of seven recipients of the University-wide NYU Distinguished Teaching Award.  For videos of the acceptance speech and testimonials, go here

In December 2020, Chiye was selected to become the nominee of NYU’s Faculty of Arts and Science (College and Graduate School) Distinguished Teaching Award. The University-wide selection will take place some time after January 29, 2021. Chiye would like to thank all of those who have helped by writing wonderfully supporting letters.

In October 2020, Chiye was invited by Professor Joe LeDoux to join the Vulnerable Brain Project (http://vbp.life/) to pursue research on anorexia nervosa and anxiety.

On August 4, 2020, Adrienne Santiago delivered her PhD defense talk via zoom. The title of her talk was, “Dissecting the neural circuitry that underlies response to resource scarcity in development.” The committee members were Cristina Alberini, Robert Froemke, Don Wilson, and Nesha Burghardt. She passed with flying colors!

In the summer of 2020, Chiye ran NYU’s first virtual 100% CNS-SURP (Center for Neural Science Summer Undergraduate Research Program).

On April 27, 2018, Yi-Wen Chen delivered her PhD defense in a large lecture hall on the first floor of Meyer Hall. The talk was titled “To Eat or to Run? Possible Mechanisms Underlying Anorexia Nervosa. The committee members were Tom Carew, Moses Chao, Eric Klann and Francis Lee. She passed with flying colors!
