Project explanation

In the world we live, everything seems accessible and well-designed. However, it’s hard for disabled people to access these convenient inventions. 

In this project, my partner and I decided to cut in on the perspective of the crossing-road scenario of disabled people. Our project aims at helping disabled people cross the roads more effortlessly and safer. We will use sensors to detect the people who would cross the road and give feedback through various methods including but not limited to light, sound, and haptics.

We hope that with the help of this project, the daily life of disabled people will become easier. The more important thing is, we hope that the project can let the society pay more attention to disabled facilities and take the need of disabled people into consideration when designing public facilities.
