February 7, 2018: The proceedings of the 5th meeting of AMP (2017) are now available on the LSA website:
Citation Information and Editors
To cite a paper that was delivered as a talk:
Lastname, Firstname. 2018. “Title.” In Gallagher, Gillian, Gouskova, Maria, and Sora Yin (eds.), Proceedings of the 2017 Annual Meeting on Phonology. Washington, DC: Linguistic Society of America. URL.
To cite a paper that was delivered as a poster, add “Supplemental” before “Proceedings”.
Below is additional information about the proceedings, as well as information about the submission timeline to help future organizers.
Proceedings papers are due Monday, January 15, 2018 at 11:59pm Eastern Standard Time.
Papers accepted for oral presentation are published in the Proceedings. Papers accepted for poster presentation are published in the Supplementary Proceedings. Both sections of the proceedings appear online only.
The upper page limit for proceedings papers is 12 single-spaced pages; there is no minimum paper length.
When you upload your paper, you will be asked to provide a 100-200 word abstract. This abstract should not be included within the paper itself.
The style sheet for proceedings papers is available as a LaTeX class file (phonologyproceedings.cls) or in a Microsoft Word document, which describe and illustrate the file. Both can be downloaded below. Note that due to font differences between Times vs. Times New Roman, and differences in how spacing is calculated in LaTeX vs. Word, the pagination differs somewhat between the two versions.
If you do not use either LaTeX or Microsoft Word, please download the files for the LaTeX version and consult the PDF file (stylesheet.pdf) in order to prepare your document according to the specifications using your preferred word processor.
We encourage all authors to follow the revised LSA Guidelines for Inclusive Language.
The proceedings will be submitted directly to the LSA proceedings website:
Please make note of the following points:
- You will be required to enter an abstract, in the range of 100–200 words.
- Papers that were presented orally will appear in the Proceedings; posters will appear in the Supplemental Proceedings.
- If your paper has multiple authors, please be sure to enter all of their names and contact information by clicking “Add author” at step 3.
Please let us know at email@example.com if you have any trouble with the submission process.
