Cong is a Ph.D. student at Nanjing agriculture university and has been awarded a scholarship under the State Scholarship Fund of China Scholarship Council to pursue her studies in NYUAD as a visiting graduate student. During her postgraduate study, she has excelled in her coursework and research and successfully published four scientific papers. She has extensive expertise in molecular and microbiological techniques. Her research in China has thus far focused on freshwater green algae and their interactions with associated bacteria. In the Amin lab, she will investigate the role bacterial quorum sensing plays in phytoplanton-bacteria interaction.
