Beat vs Beat
In the new version, this will become a two-player game, where player A will be in charge of “setting a question”, which is beating on the “drum” for a few seconds, and player B will beat after the question proposed. The more accurate player B beat, the more score they can get. The project will use the LED stripe to show when to hit.
I want to accomplish this project because I really loved the《Taiko Drum Master》when I was in my childhood. Secondly, Nicole’s project was really interesting and now it’s able to be modified with new skills I learned so far. I hope this project can help those who are also interested in music to practice their rhythm sensation with a game, serve as a way to practice the memory ability or just simply work as an interesting pvp game and bring some happiness.
Whack the Color
In this project, the user can play Whack a Mole. As the original game, there will be “moles” on the computer screen, and players need to hit the one that appear. But the moles will have different colors, so when the game comes into level 2, players will be faced with larger challenge: which mole is in the color which appears on the stipe? They need to hit the right one or they cannot get a score. So a LED tripe will be used for 2 functions: first, show which turn is a successful hit; second, show which “Mole” to hit. I think this will be a interesting game to play. (Besides, I’m still struggling about whether I can use a sensor or something to make it more interactive. But I still need some time.)
Maze: hand sound cooperation
In this project, the player will control the character(maybe just a ball) to go through the maze. They can use a potentiometer to control left and right, and use their voice’s tone to control up and down. It will be a interesting game to play because you have to speak and scream during the whole process. Also, the controller can be two people, one of whom control the potentiometer and the other keeps using their voice. There will be interesting chaos when playing this game.
This project is is partly inspired by the Japanese game “Don’t Stop Eighth Note!”.
