What kind of projects do you work on?
I am a program/project manager for Research Technology. Recent initiatives have delivered services for high-performance computing and research data management. My projects over the coming year will focus on the design and delivery of services for the high-performance computing initiative that was described in President Hamilton’s update on sciences.
Research Technology (RT) provides access to advanced computing resources, services, and expertise that enable NYU researchers and faculty to work on the most challenging research projects. Examples of such projects include the research on the rice genome to cure world hunger and using artificial intelligence to identify types of lung cancer and propose targeted therapies.
Users of RT Services range from researchers who undertake world-class/cutting edge research, such as Yann LeCun (who recently received the Turing Award) to undergraduate students who are learning the basic concepts of Data Science in the Data Science For Everyone (DSFE) program provided by the NYU Center for Data Science.

Invest time in building relationships and learning about the work culture of your department.
What is your fondest memory in your time here?
Take Your Child to Work Day events at NYU IT. As a volunteer, I have had the opportunity to take part in introducing staff members’ children to the campus and exposing them to some of the important work that is taking place at NYU.
