Why NYU?
When I returned to NYC in my late 20s, after a few years of living in Taipei, I knew I wanted to further my passion and encourage others in University programs to study and live abroad. I came to NYU to both work and study, and enrolled in NYU Steinhardt’s International Education Masters Program. It took me a couple of years to finish, and a few more years of working at NYU to finally find my groove. Liberal Studies really has created such a wonderful place to work, with so many study away opportunities–such as our First Year Away programs, Service and Leadership trips and Dean’s Circle trips to NYU Abu Dhabi.

Any advice for new administrators?
Don’t be afraid to reach out to your colleagues for help. We’re all in this together.

Who do you know that you think we should know? Why?
Liberal Studies Dean Julie Mostov. She is amazing, a powerhouse, and works out at the gym every morning!

What is your fondest memory in your time here?
This is my third working team here at NYU, and each role has its own fond memories. From over-the-top cubicle decorations on my birthday (streamers hung from the ceiling, surprised cats pasted randomly on the walls), to meeting and working with great faculty and staff on global summer programming, to traveling to NYU AD with LS students, faculty, and colleagues (shout out to everyone at the Dean’s Circle J-term 2023 trip!)–I think the fondest memories are still yet to come.

Is there an NYU benefit or perk that you use that you think everyone should know about?
Use your NYU ID to get into certain museums for free!

Coke or Pepsi?
Flavored Seltzer.

Coffee or tea?
Milk tea! My weakness is Japanese Royal Milk Tea or Assam Milk Tea.

Favorite travel destination?
Wherever my friends are!
