Meet Jennifer Novicki!

What’s your official job title?
Web Content Producer, Digital Communications. As of February 11th, I will be the Assistant Manager, Communications at the NYU Tandon School of Engineering.

What kind of projects do you work on?
The bread and butter of my current role is to meet with teams across the University and help them strategize the best way to reach their intended audiences. When they’re done finalizing their content in the CMS, I will perform content reviews, which provides feedback on content presentation, design look & feel, user experience, and current accessibility standards at NYU. In addition to content strategy and accessibility, I create web-based emails for various groups in the University, manage user feedback, and manage the digital properties for Commencement by coordinating important day of updates to nyu.edu, image uploading, and implementing the live stream. I recently worked on the NYU Celebrates Stonewall at 50 web presence.

This past summer, I co-facilitated in-person and virtual training sessions on accessibility with my colleague, Katie Santo. We held over 13 sessions to our 550+ CMS users and then formalized a plan for those who couldn’t attend either in person or via WebEx, and to onboard new CMS users, and that’s how Professor Novicki and Professor Santo (kidding) were born. We took our training material and created a learning module in NYU Classes.

Do you have a hidden talent?
I make stickers. I draw them from scratch in Adobe Illustrator, and then I process and cut using a Silhouette Portrait. And then I sell them on Etsy.
