For my midterm I have implemented color tracking on different shapes that are present in front of the Kinect. I have also mounted the camera on to a cart that has a surface that I plan to project on.
As of now, the color tracking is working well with three colors on the top of trolley and I am able to smooth out the values, helping the jittering that the sketch was having recently. I have also created the waves that come out from the light source, only being emitted when the color that is used for light is moved.
Right now, I am considering changing my project to a piece that involves sound as a more central aspect. I am planning to create different sections of the sketch that correspond to different sounds. When the shapes are moved into these sections, different sounds will play. The new piece will still incorporate some aspects of the Light 2D addon, but it will not be a central focus of the piece. I will have to create different tracks that will sound well together in order to make the piece the most effective it can be.
