When reading this article, I’ve come to realize that I never did really pay attention to what my hands actually do. Even right now, to be able to precisely feel the keyboard and type or to tell the difference in texture is never something I’ve given much thought. The acuteness and wide range of feelings that our hands can experience is something I have taken for granted and utilized subconsciously. 

Victor goes on and rants about how technology now does not utilize our sense of touch. While using an iPad, you don’t rely on these senses. You only rely on swiping or tapping motions: motions that don’t require the numerous nerves concentrated on your fingertips. Our hands are used on 2D surfaces when they are meant to be used in 3D. My take on this is that the technology simply isn’t there.  What we can do with an iPad is already quite amazing. Imagine what we can do when the technology combines with the impressive repertoire are hands are able to produce. The conjunction of these two would produce something marvelous that would allow for greater convenience and ability.
