Going to collect plastic on the beach was an interesting experience. We arrived at around 9:30, so the weather was not at it’s hottest yet, but it was not particularly cool either. The beach we went to was a relatively clean one, and yet we still managed to find a good amount of trash. The majority of trash that I found was various types of bottle caps and loose plastic wraps. The beach was quite windy, so the wind would blow loose trash across the shore. I found that many items ended up stuck in some bushes across from the beach.
After a good few hours of collecting trash we decided to call it a day. On our way back from the beach I realized that I forgot my collection bag at the hotel. I wont be able to use the plastic from the beach for my sculpture but it is not all bad; at the end of the day I left the beach a little cleaner than I saw it.
