There are a handful of important things I feel like I have learned from adeles presentation about the company she founded, precious plastics. The idea of the business is very interesting and ethically and morally strong. She introduced to us the fact that shanghai is full of disposed plastics that end up getting disposed of and risk making it hard for them to decompose naturally. She sees way more than just plastic trash, she saw potential and hope in the plastics she has collected from other people’s disposals. Personally, I am an advocate for her vision and I believe that it can really go far in educating the coming generations to keep an open eye on these plastics that we deem useless in the garbage and understand how much we can truly benefit from them.
With all of this, I have decided to take up her advice on gathering up the waste I accumulate over a week and see how much I create in waste, and try to understand ways in which I can reduce the amount and know what to do with it. That is a plan I have made for myself over the course of the coming week.
