Topologically Optimized All-Optical Logic Gates

Topology optimization (TO) enables the exploration of design spaces that are otherwise inaccessible to traditional design methods. In this presentation, a TO approach to designing all-optical logic gates will be presented and the design constraints and challenges will be discussed.

Yusuf recently graduated with a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering and Applied Mathematics from New York University Abu Dhabi and will be starting a Ph.D. in Photonics at Princeton University in the Fall of 2022.
