Advanced search capability
The team is happy to announce the inclusion of Relevanssi Premium, a plugin that provides advanced search features long requested by the community. These include:
- Include taxonomies (tags and categories) as search terms
- Search by author display name
- Weight search results and choose content to push to the top
- Create a log of user queries to analyze what site visitors are looking for
Social buttons and sharing
With the removal of Jetpack slated for early in the new year, we have identified two plugins which are intended to provide accessible methods for sharing your content on social media and linking from your sites to social media accounts.
Scriptless Social Sharing
Scriptless Social Sharing allows content creators to add social media sharing buttons to their posts and pages. The number of buttons, appearance, and location can be configured via settings from the dashboard.
Social Icons
This plugin enables content creators to add their social media handles as buttons to WordPress. The social icons can be added to the site as a widget. Once the plugin is activated, each widget can be configured individually.
