Two classes ago I presented my idea to make a non conventional piano. After consulting with my classmates I decided to do piano gloves. I like this idea because this could be an actual product one day, marketed to kids or as a Christmas gift. In the age where everyone has new ideas and kids are running their own businesses its nice to think of something that has never been done before.
I started off with plain black gloves.
Instead of soldering, I wire wrapped buttons.
Next it was time to place the buttons on the glove.
I made sure to test each button as I went.
In addition to the individual keys on my piano hand I wanted to add another sensor to enhance the musical capabilities. The sensor would function similar to a switch to where on would trigger higher scale notes and off would trigger the regular scale notes. I implemented this with 2 additional buttons, one button was for higher scaled notes and the other button was for lower scaled notes.
As far as materials I used for this project..
Power from the Arduino went to the buttons on the glove through the wires, powering my piano hand and giving it functionality.
